December 5/6, 2008: Art Photography Lottery

browsing gallery

Jean McClungObscuræ premiered with an Art Photography Lottery held at UnSmoke Systems in Braddock. Viewing and events were free and open to the public, with lottery tickets available for $45 that guaranteed ticket-holders walked out the door with a framed piece of artwork. For the lottery each photograph was paired with a frame made from local, reclaimed materials.

Although the show sold out that night after the lottery, signed archival photographs from the show are available in our online gallery.

The gallery was also open to the public before the lottery for public viewing. Fresh baked pizzas from the community wood-fired oven, drinks, music, and an interactive photo-booth installation by Merissa Lombardo rounded out the evening.
